The Little Snail Goes Walking

A little snail woke up one day. The grass was wet. He crept away.
Slow and soft, and slow and small, the snail went walking, that was all.
He met a bug upon a stone. "Come along," he said. "Don't walk alone."
Slow and soft, and slow and small, the two went walking, that was all.
They found a leaf all round and green. The softest bed they'd ever seen.
The sun was warm.
The wind was low.
The snail was slow.
A drop of dew fell, cool and clear. "Rest here," said bug. "The nest is near."
Slow and soft, and slow and small, they curled up close, that was all.
The leaf rocked gently, left and right. The grass grew dim in evening light.
Slow and soft. Slow and small. The little snail was home. That's all.
